THE TALE OF BORGO DOLCIANO

Paolo and Monica have been walking life’s path side by side for the past three decades.
For many years Florence has been their home where they have delighted in seeing their two children Lucrezia and Emanuele grow and blossom. However, their hearts have always been firmly rooted in the land of their childhoods deep in the Tuscan countryside on the border with Umbria.

It was here that their characters were shaped and their family values formed amidst the art, culture and cuisine found in the hills of the Tuscan landscape. It was here that they learned from their grandmothers how to cook traditional dishes based upon recipes passed down the generations. It was here that the Paolo’s father passed on to them the art of cultivation in the vegetable gardens and vineyards that tell stories of lives past.

It was here that a dream was born in the purchase of “The Borgo Dolciano” set in the heart of the Estate of the Grand Duke Leopold of Tuscany. With love and dedication Paolo and Monica carefully restored the stables, the old school and ancient farm buildings, whilst preserving the authentic essence of this historic place.Here you can breathe the "dolcy life", the sweet life of Tuscany, amidst paths lined with cypresses, under the endless hills of olives and vineyards in colours that delight the eyes and soothe the soul.
