BREATH WORK CLASSES
Breathing, perhaps the most basic biological function of all, is arguably, the least understood. Many of us suffer from poor sleep, lack of energy, weakened immune systems, and slow metabolisms. Breathing well can address all of these issues and for some it is completely transformative.
Paying attention to our breathing is a key component in the art of mindfulness and can be practised at any time and in almost any circumstance. By learning to pay attention to our breath and the physical sensations associated with it, we help to bring the mind back to the present and restore the connection and equilibrium between mind and body.
Each morning during the retreat we will practice some basic breathing techniques based on the Buteyko method. We will begin to experience and understand the importance and benefits of nasal breathing and slow breathing.
Combined with the GYROTONIC® Expansion System that we will engage with every day; this powerful combination will provide you with the tools to dramatically improve your mental and physical health.
